Usyk knew it had been called low.

He knew there wasn't a count.

He knew he had a timeout to recover from Dubois' illegal low blow.

He didn't have to try and get up inside a 10 count, 25 count, or 100 count. So he didn't.

He beat the ears off the mentally weak opponent in front of him, winning every round.

Which bit are you struggling with?

Funny how Usyk fans want everyone to just accept the decision and move on. Meanwhile GGG fans are still crying about the decision of the first Canelo fight 6 years later. It's been two weeks. It's still fresh in everyone's mind.

How about this : accept the Canelo GGG 1 decision after 6 years, accept that GGG never beat Canelo before you start wanting everyone to move on from a far greater controversy in something that happened a mere 2 weeks ago.

He hit him low and usyk, even if winded to the lower gut, may have beaten the count if the ref said legal blow. That alone is why you probably shouldn't think DDD is world champion.

Irrelevant to if he woulda gotten up from the punch. How dominant he was outside of him going down has nothing to do with it.

It's unclear if he would have gotten up. He was definitely in pain and would have greatly struggled to get up if he had been ruled a KD. And even if he did beat the count, he likely would have been a sitting duck for a further barrage of punches from Dubois which could have led to another knockdown or a stoppage.

Yeah that's why I don't see him as world champion even if ruled a legal blow. Usyk isn't Lerena.

They are very different situations but "moving on" has never been a thing amongst boxing fans or on this forum so why would anyone expect that in this situation?

Maybe because all was correct? It was low blow (rules said this) and Pabon make good decision.

I thought I'd come to your defense because I agree with you.

Without the aid of a video referee, with so much on the line, it would be completely reckless for the in ring referee to rule it as a legal shot.

Anyone claiming they knew it was legal/illegal whilst they were watching it in real time, without watching a replay, are being illogical or pissing in your pocket because it was extremely borderline and it obviously happened very quickly. Impossible to tell what kind of shot it was in real time.

After watching the replay I thought it was a legal shot. At the point of impact Usyk's trunks were raised and the belt line was directly on the naval which is exactly where the shot landed. I don't think he would of got up to beat the count either, he went down instantly like he was gored by a bayonet.

Regarding who in the industry thought it was legal or illegal, it's clearly a polarising moment, plenty of experts on both sides of the coin which probably means the notion of a video ref should be entertained.

Look at this clip with Tony Weeks at the start of the Pacquiao vs De La Hoya match, he's pointing at the exact spot Dubois landed his shot.

Other than the actual ref , the beltline footage & MoQ rules. Dubois got beat down. Just fkin stop crying.. if it was some sort of robbery on points or something then I would listen but the guy fkin quit

Where have you EVER seen a debate about whether a blow was low to this level?

Usyk excusers. Blow was legal. Soft belly got beaten by a worse plodding bodybuilder than AJ in a fight his team should not have taken as any heavyweight who can land their power will going to hurt the midget.

    Benefit of the doubt

If you need slow motion replays from 5 angles and scientific analyses of belt height to naval then the blow is legit.

Was it borderline yep....but legal by any standard or precedent in boxing history the trajectory of the punch being an upper also makes it so.

A low blow uppercut isn't that high

Belly punches are legal. It's a message from the gods to Usyk for calling mocking Fury's belly which can handle the force of a thousand nuclear blows. A man of iron.

Dubious didn't get beaten by Usyks power or his mental ability or lack thereof

He got beat the same way all these bodybuilders get beat. Gassing out with a body brimmed full of lactic acid. The guy would have fallen over under his own weight nevermind a jab.
