How do you see a fight like this going down?

    Depends on the distance.

    pick 'em over 12.

    Chavez over 15.

    Good matchup.

Dejesus was a shade quicker with his hands and feet. He had that snappy lefthook counter and good boxing skills. I think Chavez was stronger. I believe that JCC`s body attack would pay off over the distance.

I see Dejesus taking a slight lead over the first 5 or 6 rounds with his quickness and accurate. Chavez would cut the distance down round after round.

    Chavez by UD over 12
Chavez by TKO anywhere past that.

the thing is Dejesus is a good infighter, good enough imo not be getting thoroughly overhauled in a 12 rounder.

Though on the flipside Chavez is a good enough boxer and puncher on the way in not to be getting totally picked off over the first 5-6.

I think it would be very tough for either man to really distinguish himself over 12.The kind of fight where a knockdown or two might be the difference.Dejesus the more likely to be genuinely hurt, but it wouldn't shock me to see put Julio down for a quick knockdown with that sneaky heavy left-hook either.

Chavez is not stopping DeJesus in my book.

Duran at LW is as complete a fighter that has ever existed. Chavez is great but he is not were near the level of fighter that a prime DeJesus fought and dropped twice and beat once. (There needs to be some serious study on DeJesus career.)

Chavez from the Rosario fight is an elite LW. DeJesus from Duran I or II is an elite LW. I would these two fighter together. They are both equal in greatness, Chavez more so in accomplishment.

I think the DeJesus presents Chavez a huge problem. He is more verastile and I think he hits harder p4p. So Chavez would have to hunt and hunt and risk getting cracked. With less skill than a prime Duran to call on to get close I think this makes the fight really hard for Chavez to get control of.

I can see DeJesus outboxing Chavez...but more than likely Chavez will relentlessly come after DeJesus and outpoint him on aggression.

Chavez takes this. De Jesus was a very good nearly man but I don't think Duran is the only man who could stop him getting to the top.
