P4p #1 is not interchangeable, when Roy was p4p #1 and Tarver beat him, Tarver didn't magically move to #1 p4p, Jones simply wasn't #1 anymore.

I dont get why DLH is talking **** about Pac and doesn't give him any respect. If anything, he should be talking him up to not make his loss to Pac look as bad

Regardless of what happens in May, Hatton will not be the best fighter in the world. I like the guy, but one good win against the current #1 is not basis enough for him to be ranked above everyone else in the world. P4P IS NOT LINEAL.

It would definitely move him up, but he'd have to win at least one more big fight before being ranked number 1.

No way, they would put either Hopkins or Marquez at 1. I bet some people here in esb would try putting Hatton at #1. Some posters might also claim that Hatton could beat Cotto at 147 if Hatton beats pac, that's how it works at esb.:yep

I see where this is going, then if /when DLH beats Hatton, he then becomes the #1 P4P fighter.

Can anyone recommend a decent documentary on Oscar, please? I don't really get him. I like him and I like him as a boxer and have really enjoyed some of his fights (that I've seen retrospectively).
See, When Oscar started really making waves, I was only a very, very casual boxing fan. Certain boxers I would follow for every fight but I would basically pay no attention to other fighters, no matter how good they were. Jones Jnr. for example, how much I wish I could have paid more attention to that wizard but I just wasn't interested.

Why did the World (of boxing) go so mad for Oscar? I would really appreciate an explanation.

    Thankyou.

This discussion would have a whole load more credibility if most of the people saying 'P4P doesn't work like that' weren't the same twonks who parachuted Jermaine Taylor into their top 6 rankings for wins over just one opponent, who put Kelly Pavlik in their top 6 for then beating Taylor and who put Antonio Margarito in their top 6 for getting throughly outboxed but exploiting Cotto's obvious stamina failings

    I thought that. Hahaha.

Bah! I started to make this post because I wanted to give an example of another daft, or pathetic description for the fight, something with even less intensity than "tiff" but I really just can't! I don't think you can find a word for a fight with less violence or passion, or as pathetic as "tiff". Can you? hehe.

Hatton winning does not make this flawed clutching punching bag #1.

Ricky will move up in the rankings if he wins but he won't be #1 by ring magazine...IMO JMM would be #1 and I'd put Bhop #2...Pac would scoot to 6 or 7..somewhere in there...
