Oscar can't close the tactical show over a top top fighter. He flat out can't do it. He had serious advantages against Mosley, Trinidad and Mayweather to name three and let them all bleed out in one way or another. In short, he is a pretty conservative front-runner. I think that might cost him.

    Very close fight.

I think Pac takes this, honestly. ODLH was probably a better welterweight than Pac, and probably would've beaten more/better fighters if they were both facing a selection from ww history, but Pac's hand/foot speed, his relentlessness for 12 rounds, his constant movement around, all of this would have made for a torrid night for Oscar.

I think Oscar was a better ww than Tito or Mosley, but whereas I'd probably back Tito and Shane to beat Pac at 147, stylistically and in terms of how their attributes match up, I'd back Pac to pull it out vs Oscar, close but clear decision after a war, where both guys would be marked up afterwards.

A Prime WW Oscar knocks Pacquaio out, and the Media discredit the win, claiming that there is a reason that we have weight classes.

Prime Mosley knocks Pac out as-well.

DLH beats pac prime for prime at 147... their actual fight should not be taken on board here... if you pick pac over Oscar on the strength of that fight then you`d be as well picking Berbick over Ali on the strength of their fight... its just about the same thing.

Oscar could move just as well as Pacquaio. Alot of people forget that.

I'm not sure, the way Pac bounces across the ring is almost unnatural.

Bounced Luff, not bounces :nono He's lost that now, and he is so much more vulnerable as a result.

I agree to be honest buddy. I do think though, that the side to side footwork of Oscar (What I call a Latin Shuffle) would allow him to have a say in distance, thus allowing him to establish his jab, and to build from there.

yeah but we're talking 08 pac anyways. Pac now is arguably coming off his best performance in years dominating a p4p star like Bradley.

I think Oscar's footwork is more intelligent and early on he might be able to maneouver Pac into firing range but Pac's feet are so quick I'm not sure what WW I'd place above him in that category.

Pac's feet are quick but what fighter 147 and above did he fight that had any sort of decent footwork at the time? Easy to have fast feet against the plodders he's been fighting.

Cotto to a degree and bradley.

That aside you can see his footwork throughout his career.

Quick feet is one of his strengths.

The Oscar that Pac faced was done!..It was his last fight and theres a reason why...Im a huge Pac fan but in his prime De La Hoya knocks the **** outa him...He woulda just been too much fora relaxed fighter like Pac...Oscar KO by the 10th.
