    Mayorga fought better vs Mosley.

DLH fought more aggressively and is a better boxer than Mosley (boxer not overall fighter).

Mayorga completely underestimated Dela hoya, I remember actuall quotes from him
saying that Oscar would not last 7 rounds with him, he was to Overconfident.

Not sure. They both won. Oscar has a better counter hook than Mosley I think. Mosley is much more physically strong and has fast hands.

oscar, shane, fernando, vernon, and all those that have faced mayorga have said he has an awkward, difficult herky jerky style. a style with no rhythm is one that might throw you off balance or get you by surprise like mayorga did with shane. mayo was always known for his strength, but i think he simply threw shane off his game. we all know mayo to be powerpuncher, and yet, he was outboxing mosley! :admin something that was very unexpected. i think he started doing that when he fought vargas, he wasn't as aggressive, but he was always an awkward fighter. as with oscar, he did get in oscar's head and insulted him alot worse than he did with mosley, so it was personal. shane is alot more level headed than oscar, imo, and figured mayo in the later rounds, breaking him down and finishing him. it might of been a huge upset if mayo kept that tempo throughout the fight

Mayorga wasn't doing his usual macho man act.If you watched that fight and the one against Vargas he actually boxed alot more. Believe it or not he has some skills.

For a while he was just a madman leading with his face and swinging for the fences.

One because Mayorga was so heavy in the fight he was 170 and clinched Mosley alot from the middle rounds on and Mosley played right into his hands trying to fight in a gutter brawl clinching, rabbit punching, fighting on the break etc. Mosley also doesnt have the kind of jab that DLH has to neutrilize the wild swings of Mayorga. Mosley just tried to bang it out with Mayorga. Shane Mosley with Jack Mosley as his trainer rarely ever had a gameplan once he got older and his speed and energy dimished slightly he tried to just fight most of his fights flatfooted and loading up on power shots. When he worked with Joe Goosen he changed that but that 2nd Winky fight and the 2nd Vargas fights are the only times up until recently agianst Margarito where Shane gave angles, used double and triple jabs and real jabs like pawing like he used to. The Mosley that is trained by Richardson would have put Mayorga to sleep alot faster then the very last secound.
