DLH announces that he will fight Steve Forbes at a catch weight of 150 lbs. This matchup is a lot more interesting than one may believe. The drama unfolding behind the fight is already immense. Roger Mayweather is training Forbes! And as we all know, Floyd Sr. is in DLH's corner again.. This could be sweet. Forbes was quoted to be comparing the outcome of this fight likely to be that of Apollo Creed giving an underdog a chance.. haha.. What do you think?

Interesting stuff mate. With those trainers this could be a better fight than I anticipated.

Why does he call this a tune up?? Dela Hoya is washed up and as I see it he is now fighting at his true level. It was obvious from the Strum fight that Dela Hoya has lost his sharpness and refelxes

No true boxing fan should give any DLH fight any credibility at this point imo. Personally, i think Goldie lost his heart after the first Mosley fight. I dont count the sparring match with his future partner B Hops and his avoiding Winky for the last 5-6 years is unmanly. Fighting midgets like Forbes on his way to fighting supertalent midgeet Floyd is too much from cherrypicking Goldie for me. Go rub Tito's balls for some manhood. At least he takes on challenges.

I was thinking the same - what a devised masquerade this is gonna be - Mayweather and Mayweather doing the promotion against each other and Forbes and Hoya sparring against each other in secrecy to get themselves prepared to fight each other "officially". This fight makes me wanna vomit all over my keyboard...

Only good thing about this fight is Forbes is getting his best payday.

Happy for him, he's an easy guy to root for.

Other then that, this fight is a total joke.

Now that I think of it, maybe this is Steve's reward for not putting up a huge stink, after he was robbed against D-Hop.

Oscar sparred Hops and now Forbes. I guess they feel they owe Forbes a payday after robbing him when he fought Hopkins nephew. Oh yeah, Goldie sparred Floyd too.

its a frickin tune-up guys, enjoy it for what it is. boxing has benefitted greatly from oscars career, if you must hate, hate him for his singing.
