.......in his prime, what makes him think he can do it at 35?

For people who have him in their Top 5 for the past decade need to stop smoking funny stuff.

    Varas was NOT elite.

Tito had bashed his head in by the time they fought...That's the only reason Oscar fought him.

Remember Oscar NEVER granting Fernando a pay day and BAMN 5 kds later the fight happens:patsch

Oscar the ULTIMATE "cherrypicker." Steve Forbes anyone:nut

    PLEASE NOTE:

quartey was coming off a 14 months layoff:yikes and had been dropped twice and held to a draw by jose luis lopez in his last fight.

Trinidad was already killing himself to make the weight when oscar lost to him.

and vargas had been shot since the trinidad loss. since that trinidad loss, he had been dropped and almost ko´d by light hitting wilfredo rivera.

AND alot of people had quartey winning that fight.

sure, oscar was world class, but he lacks that defining victory.

I challenge you to tell who was ELITE, not a NAME and not the condition the fighter was when they fought..

Oba Carr - Tito had already slaughtered him
Vargas - See Oba Carr comments
Sturm - Let's be real he LOST that fight
Camacho - See Oba Carr comments
Mayorga - See Oba Carr comments (see a Tito leftover theme)
    Gatti - NEVER ELITE:lol:

Chavez, and PErnell Whitaker were CLEARLY not at their peaks but I'll give you that.

Oscar has the Most DECEIVING resume in the HISTORY of the sport...He's been in with everybody but ONLY people who knows the sports inside out knows he "cherrypicks" everyone...

    Steve Forbes anyone..
