What Oscar is trying to say is that Canelo isn't ready for GGG, and I totally agree.

    Good night.

Exactly!!! If Canelo & Cotto are not legitimate Middleweights why are the fighting for the lineal middleweigh title ?
Worst still how can the winner be allowed to refuse to face the #1 contender & mandatory challenger Gennady Golovkin.
This scenario makes boxing look ridiculous to fringe fans

Nop, he's a middleweight and so is Cotto. They can duck GGG and move back down for all they care but as long as they hold the title they're obliged to face GGG there's no "I'm not a middleweight guys", FOH.

So basically what this means is that if Canelo wins, he'll relinquish his belt and lose a ton of fans doing so.

I thought Golden Boy wanted to make all the great fights? Remember Oscar and Bernard saying that last year? Cold war over!! Best fighting the best! Unification fights like the old days?

big canelo fan but he cant make 154, hell he is 160 a week out from a fight scheduled at 155 so he clearly aient making that either. he needs to move up, fight night weight v trout was 172, thats middleweight rehydration weight. i know he wants to "ease" into it and thats fine but dont drain urself especially against a crafty veteran like cotto, you risk losing simply because of how drained you might be.

go up to 160, face a few journeymen and then start taking on the GGG's of the division

If Kellerman asks the question, will the winner squirm and try to talk their way out of fighting GGG in the post fight interview?
That's the most interesting part, imo.
That and seeing if Canelo can actually make weight and not look like a leper

Canelo walks around at 170lbs (same as Golovkin and Froch) but isnt a middleweight.

What Fishnets means is that they want to fight smaller fighters before being forced up.
