Yup and this was a guy who had the effrontery to call out Mayweather recently for not seeking out the biggest challenges. Well what are you doing here then Oscar?

Canelo needs to starve himself back to 154 or man up and fight the champ at 160.

His re-hydrated weight says he is easily a Middleweight. Oscar doesn't want his only decent fighter left to get savagely KOed. That is what this is all about.

Sulaiman just reiterated that the winner MUST fight Golovkin and that if they don't they have to vacate the title and Golovkin will be upgraded to "Full champion" of the WBC.

That's essentially what's going to end up happening. All Golovkin would have left is the winner of Lee-Saunders and the winner of Quillin-Jacobs. IF he were able to land both of those matches and is able to unify the division completely, I'd imagine it would take him close to 2 years to be able to achieve that feat.

So essentially his next 2 big fights will be against Lee-Saunders and QUillin-Jacobs. At that point, he'll be around 36. I don't think that'll help him achieve an ATG status since he'd be the heavy favorite against either of those winners. It would be nice to see him test himself against legitimate challengers rather than unify a relatively weak division.

Well oscar didnt want the Trout or Lara figbt either and we see how that went, also when has Canelo ever said its a problem making JMW?

Dude has said multiple times he can make 154 he just hasn't had a title shot, he weighed in the Kirkland fight 154.5 when did half a pound or one pound become a big deal in a non title fight.

I'm bad at math...someone remind me what is the weight in pounds universally recognized as the upper weight bracket for a boxing middleweight title? Just wondering....

Translation: i don't want my fighter to give up the one thing that gives him the edge at 154. Size advantage

    Yay 155lb Cottocaneloweight!!

Next year it will be 157 Canelocottoweight!!!

By then, they'll be hoping GGG will be hard pressed to make 160 and will require him to come in under 158!!

    :happy

    :rofl

    For the lineal title :dead
It's time for the major organizations to ban catchweights for title fights. Starting to look really bad for the sport.
