143 is fair when you take into account each's top fight night weights.

Oh this will be a very good fight. Marquez will Expose Mayweather. We have to remember that Marquez is a very good technical fighter.

They might as well. Neither one will weigh over 150 pounds. Of course if Floyd has no trouble dropping down, they could always fight for the 140 pound lineal title as well.

:lol::lol::lol:Its hillarious that so many people view this JMM fight as if it were the ticket to a real fight with Pacquiao.....:lol::lol::lol:

Folks are in for a shock......as far as the matchup is concerned, JMM-Mayweather is the main course.....that which is of substance......but like in life, sometimes folks dont like what is substantive and prefer to go straight for the desert......

For me, I'll take the main course!:happy:happy:happy:bbb:bbb:bbb:yep

Floyd will defeat Marquez rather handily. Marquez struggled with light punching Juan Diaz.I know that styles make fights but I just don't see Marquez being able to do anything to Mayweather.

You know the catchweight and two year layoff for Floyd.

Why does everyone say 2 year layoff for Mayweather.......he fought Hatton in December of 2007.....thats 1 year and 6 months, or 18 months.

Doubtful. Marquez will be a tougher fight than Pacquiao. I don't think "struggle" is exactly accurate. It was a tough fight. Diaz fought great, but Marquez was greater. Diaz threw a lot of punches, but not that many landed flush even though they created excitement with the crowd. It's hard to look like Pacquiao unless you're fighting walking corpses. Not to take anything away from Pac because he fought perfect but Marquez had the tougher fights. Maybe it didn't seem like it before hand, but it was obvious after.

You never know. The uncertainty with Floyd's layoff and Marquez being effective at a higher weight makes it very interesting to see what happens.

I hope Mayweather can win at this weight after a layoff because it's no tune up.

Anyone that thinks it's a tune-up is underrating and/or disrespecting JMM. He is going to bring a fight to Floyd.
