Is it bad that I want to see Maidana win by KO just to have a laugh?

Khan UD is still the smart bet IMO.

Whoever wins the bid makes the fight on the date and venue he choses, plus (unless there's no other deal), he controls the gate, ring size, gloves etc, plus has his word on the officials. Logically, the bidders represent one of the fighters, but a 3rd party can still join the... party - if I'm not mistaken, Ahmet Öner almost won a Klitschko bid a few fights back.

If Warren won the bid, he could decide the date and venue and Khan would get the 55% and Maidana the 45%.

You'll look silly when it's announced. Make sure you're around when it is.

I can only see this fight happening. Khan wants a big hitter on his resume, Maidana is a beatble big hitter.

Khan/Roach want the fight and it will happen.

I cant wait for all the people who say Khan is scared of getting KOd to be proven wrong. These will then be the people saying it was predictable and an easy choice when Khan wins by clear U.D.

Wow looks like Oscar is pissed off with Team Con!!!

"The ball is in Amir Khan's court.... it's upto Amir Khan's people.... the contracts are out, it's just a matter of Amir Khan signing the contract".

Goldengirl are full of **** though. Oscar "we want everyone to fight each other" is smoke and mirrors. This is the same Goldengirl who turned down the HBO 140 tournament proposed a few months ago.

This is industry rumour, so take it as such. But in reading the comments from ODLH it does seem to hold a bit of truth.

Apparantly, GBP put out an offer to Team Khan and Maidana, with the 2million HBO purse, minus costs, split at the 55%, 45%.

While that was going on Team Khan was working on it's own proposal for the fight to held in UK..

Maidana's management agreed to the GBP proposal.. TK's UK bid seems to have foundered without a response back.. and now they are trying to get TK accept the GBP deal

If it turns out true, it's going to be the second time that GBP have had TK take less than their gaurantee, bit of a shitter, but I supposed what's 1.1 million instead of 1.25 if it makes you into a superstar!

Who cares? The 'unofficial tournament' is already starting.

I'm amazed how you never comment about the Bradley-Alexander fight and the controversy that's going on over on that side.

If anything, props to GBP for getting this fight done. Now Bradley-Alexander need to get their asses sorted.

I definetly think it's the truth boxing4eva. Multiple sources have been reporting that talks are going good.

Dan Rafael reported last night from twitter that Khan-Maidana talks have progressed. It's only a matter of time before this is signed. It won't go to purse bids, as you said.

I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy in what Oscar said. Relax.

You keep saying this fight is done when it's not. Did you not watch the same video as us? Or does your brain automatically block any anti-Khan messages out? Oscar clearly said they are waiting on Team Khan and are hoping Team Khan will sign.

It'll be signed. I'm just defending any criticism you might put out such as "Khan won't take it, he's stalling or trying to find an excuse".

This fight will be signed within this week and be announced the next. Put money on it. Better yet, pack your bags son :deal
