How are reigning champions shot? Hoya lost 2 of 4. However, many people thought he beat Shane and he was actually doing ok against Hopkins until he got hit with that body shot. Remember, Hopkins is one the greatest MWs of all time, and Oscar was really a JMW. Oscar was past his prime against Floyd, but hardly shot. Same with Cotto. Cotto had won 3 straight by stoppage going into that bout.

Didn't Oscar start at 130, like Floyd? Cotton at 135, 140?
They are not natural 154' ERS. Canelo is a different story.

Floyd is great. But don't act like he beat a prime terry Norris

Oscar was 34 years old and past his prime, but not shot.

Cotto, by that stage and since the Margarito loss, was better at 154 than 147.

Canelo was the best light middleweight of the last years.
