I dont recall the exact name of the show on ABC but they rebuild homes brand new for poor people. They picked a MidWestern Family with a Boxing Gym set up in an old ass barn, falling apart. The Hill Family, I believe. The Dad of the family is an amateur boxing coach, and he helps out little kids and youth in trouble, learn to box, to keep them off the streets. An 18 year old Stepson by the name of Azeem "The Hammer" Hill, African American, ripped to shreds, and ****ing amazing handspeed and foot movement (He did the ****ing Ali shuffle like you wouldnt believe) He looks about 6'1 or so and is amazingly athletic, he was doing backflips like nothing. Of course, *******, $$$$ first Oscar offered the family (Live from GBP Headquarters, I swear I saw Bernard walking around with a mop and bucket in the background) "Tickets to my next big fight in December" (The Golden Greed should have just reminded viewers to call their local cable operators) Anyway, Big George chimed in via closed circuit and offered congrats, as did Sugar Ray, who Azeem seemed to idolize. This kid, if Cus d'amato saw him, would instantly have been treated the same as Tyson. I really feel he has potential. :bbb
Aleem is good. He's 165, lost in the finals of the Golden Gloves this year and in the Semis of Nationals, both times to good fighters. They're from Upstate NY though, Aleem was boxing for the Syracuse franchise at the Gloves.
He needs about another year of the Amateur Bull****, and then he needs to turn pro. This kid is going to be tough to beat. I wish DKP would pick him up. Upstate NYC? Excellent.
Golden Goves is fine and well, but I want to see Aleem without those stupid ass Bozo the Clown gloves and the stupid ass headgear. With 8 oz gloves, he will destroy.
I was sparring back in 1990, when your mama was still wiping your nose, boy. It wasnt **** then, and it's not **** now. Try getting hit with an 8 oz. glove sometime, thanks for playing. :good
