Mayweather barely defeated old, part-time boxer DLH, obviously a prime DLH would be able to produce that little extra to win.

I was alittle more impressed with Oscar outboxing Shane in the rematch. His speed was unreal there. That one beats or draws with Floyd.

HAHAHA, you mean a guy that barely lost to Mosley, beat Mosley in many eyes in the second fight, then at the end of his career when he was the slowest and oldest, beat Floyd through 9 rounds of their fight only to barely lose the fight?

Yea, a peak oscar would fuk Floyd up, so would a peak Mosley.

nah he's right that was basically a 140 lb version of Mayweather that beat Oscar. Dude had no business even fighting at 154 at that point of his career but was seeking a payday & still beat Oscar convincingly

DLH looked good against Vargas, because Vargas isn't nearly as skilled as Mayweather. Mayweather has a way of making fighters look ordinary. Floyd won the fight 9-3,8-4. It was terrible judging probably influenced by the crown screaming everytime DLh threw and missed a flurry. Mayweather always beats DLH.

Yea on your warped scorecard. Emmanual stewart was hating on Oscar that night and even he admitted to Larry Merchant that Floyd was losing after 8 rounds or so and if he didn't pick it up, or if Oscar doesn't slow down as he had a habit of doing, Floyd was going to lose. Floyd squeaked by an OLD oscar, that's reality. A young, prime Oscar would've easily won another 2-3 rounds taking that fight. not to mention oscar couldn't even pull the trigger like Freddie said during that fight.Oscar was slow, old and couldn't pull the trigger and was still beating Floyd after 8-9 rounds. Yea, Floyd beats oscar at any phase of his career:lol:

I admit the fight would of been better, but considering Floyd has been dominating for a long time. I'm still going to say he would of still beat De La Hoyle. Also keep in mind a younger De La Hoyle couldn't beat Mosley.

Unlike you I don't score fights based on what the HBO team is saying. The fact is, Floyd landed more punches, and made Oscar and Floyd and miss a lot. Floyd won a clear decision. DLH is not as smart and Floyd in terms of boxing IQ and's that why he would most likely allways lose. DLH could've clearly beat Mosley twice, if he had fought smart and not gotten drawn into wild exchanges.

De La Hoya easily. He was spectacular in that fight when not up against the ropes. Floyd isn't big and strong enough to get him there, he had a very good showing against Floyd well after his prime too. That ODLH handles Floyd without much problem.

One of the big problems Floyd has had throughout his career post 135 is that he never pushed hard in fights ie he seemed content to just do enough to get the W and his fight with DLH was no different he just did enough to outclass DLH when in reality after round 8 he should have looked to get him out of there.

Another example is his fight against Baldomir where he just didn't push hard enough to stop an overmatched oppenent, but in saying that 154lb DLH from the Vargas fight could come and he'd still get defeated because Mayweather would simply step it up a notch and once again do just enough to get the W.

FFS gentleman he couldn't shut out Trinidad when he was there for the kill and we're supposed to believe DLH is a beast who's going to outsmart and outright beat a fighter with ATG ring intelligence?

Roach came up with a good gameplan for DLH in 2007, you can tell Roach really studied the Castillo fights

Roach's gameplan for DLH in 2007 was to get Floyd on the ropes and then for DLH to let his hands go, which is what Castillo did to Floyd. It earned DLH a SD.

DLH just didn't have enough gas in the tank, foot speed or crispness on his hand speed he did when he was 30.

That Trinidad decision was really horrible, check the punch stats for that fight, you honestly can't do anymore than Hoya did to beat a guy.
