you know, i watched this same video and thought about creating a thread for this video. seeing DLH and Angel Garcia hugging first and then saying that there will be a face off at the weigh in set off some alarm bells for me. (DLH : "I'm sure there will" [be a faceoff])

at the weigh in, you had the Garcia camp saying it was a seperate weigh in because of Zab, and Zab said it was the Garcia camp that made the weigh in seperate. doesn't it seem like DLH and Hopkins are in the Garcia camp? Hopkins comes over and whispers something into Angel Garcia's ear. I mean this is pretty shady stuff from Zab's perspective.

They were asked about the fact that Zab was kicked out of the Barclay's Center, and Angel Garcia jumps in and says "what probably happened was...he was arrogant" and started talking about the Modell's situation. Yet DLH didn't have an answer about that question, about whether Zab was actually prevented from coming to the press confernece. this is bizarre if you ask me and I don't think anything like this has ever happened before. It makes one think if this could be possibly intentional? could this be staged to buildup the fight like a WWE match? but i can't imagine Zab would agree to such shenagans so maybe the whole thing is staged by DLH, Hopkins and Angel Garcia, with their justification being the Modell's situation. but really what did Zab do? Angel Garcia was tossing words at Zab at Modell's too.

but what happened to Zab doesn't mean it's a racist thing. but i agree that what happened was totally bogus. that happened to Zab probably more because of Angel Garcia and what happened at Modell's than anything else. Zab is outspoken and obviously ruffled Angel Garcia's feathers at Modells, but how Angel Garcia spun what happened at Modell's as justification for Zab being prevented from entering the press confernece is absurd.

I don't think it's because of the color of Zab's skin, but moreso because Zab is so outspoken and Angel Garcia's apparant tightness with DLH. Karceno4Life said something like this happened to Trout, how his family wasn't allowed in but Canelo's was. is this true or is it just rumors to get people fired up and make it as a trend of GBP? you gotta remember Bernard Hopkins is president of GCP East, Karceno4Life didnt seem to happy with Hopkins either.

but see I don't think Hopkins is a token black person. i think he's just tight with DLH. like i said i think it's shady what happened. shady objectively. and Angel Garcia and DLH were certainly deceptive in that interview. Hopkins is picking Danny Garcia because he's a Philly fighter. so he can't root for the Brooklyn fighter against a philly fighter. there's a lot of dynamics to this, and i think it short changes the real factors to just chalk it up to age old racism. i think it's more complex then that. it's about people, it's about styles. i mean Zab certainly is like no other black fighter I know. no one's like Zab, you know what i mean, he's a unique character.
