Last time I checked, Maidana was schooled by Devon frigging Alexander.

If you do the math, it is quite easy to realize that it will be a one sided beatdown.

So if at any time a fighter who has ever lost to an opponent inferior to the one they have yet to face, automatically becomes an irrelevant foe and certain to lose?

Plenty of and just about all HOF'ers have examples of that which make the whole "Maidana lost to Alexander, he automatically loses to Floyd" notion simply a novice opinion.

Styles make fights. Floyd does everything Alexander does, only a lot better. Unlike Cotto, Maidana won't be able to cut the ring well enough to pressure Floyd. Floyd will run circle around Maidana with ease, boxing at his own range, slipping wild punched and touching him at will. We've seen this scenario multiple times.

To be competitive against Mayweather, one would need a very solid jab and an outstanding ring generalship. As much as a like Maidana (and other Argentinian fighters by the way), I don't see these qualities in him. I wish I am wrong and that the fight will be competitive though.

Somebody that can't manage to win a single round vs Devon Alexander shouldn't even be considered to share the ring with Floyd, it's a complete joke of a fight...

why do people listen to this crosssdressing, alcohol iduced drug taking skunt? this is the same jackass, that says he was never relaxed in the ring. But he expects this idiot to beat Floyd?

    Who said that?

The one that "forgot to throw the jab"?

The one that "gave Alvarez the key to beat Mayweather"?

    ***** please.

I'm still waiting for an answer to my question.
On what paper is Maidana most dangerous for Floyd?
The paper that Broners chin is made of?

Maidana deserved the fight more then Khan based on what they've done in recent fight, but that said Khan is stylistically a more difficult fight than Maidana for Floyd.

Floyd will box circles around Maidana.

Thurman is still being built up, he isn't as big of a name or draw as Maidana. Get him some more exposure, experience in big fights etc and he should be right in the mix for Mayweather.

Mayweather won't fight Thurman because by the time Thurman built his name to be marketable enough, he will be too dangerous for Floyds last or second to last fight.
Expect Mayweather to fight an ancient version of Pacquiao instead, that probably lost again to Bradley and/or Marquez, finally "giving the people what they want" :patsch
Keith Thurman will be the last man Floyd will duck before he retires, and he will avoid him like the pest, mark my words.

Thurman would make easy work of a gatekeeper like Maidana and knock him out in 9.
