DE LA HOYA: Mayweather easily beats Pacquiao

Oscar makes money with Floyd. He's saying what a promoter is expected to say. He said that Marquez was going to beat Floyd. He's as much a bullshitter as Bob Arum is.

no I don't know that. Unlike you I actually watch boxing and not just Floyd Jr. It's no given who would win this fight.

 

Every fight that has fought Pacquiao and fought Mayweather says Mayweather will win. Marquez, Hatton and DLH say Floyd would win,.

 

I'm not saying most don't have a fear of losing. But there are some who are so confident in their abilities that their arrogance out weigh any rationale thoughts of actually taking a loss. Floyd for the most part would be a prime example of a SUPREMELY confident athlete who is or was considered the very best and didn't seem to have any fears in losing to anyone he faced.

Floyd went through A LOT of changes that most never expected out of Floyd after everyone was pushing for the showdown with PAC. That's where people began to question just how confident Floyd actually was with regards to his chances in beating Manny.

Why would I be confused with Post fight interviews? That has nothing to do with taking a particular fighters words at face value and I never had reason to question Floyd until recently.....after the whole change in Floyd began taking place.

DLH said it was a pick-em fight back on the George Lopez show.

There are plenty of boxers / trainers who pick Pac. Their opinions are overrated anyway. Those people get fights wrong all the time.

it's all smoke and mirrors and bluffs. floyd is a fading fraud, who stopped improving many moons ago. all these easy safe fights dulled his skills. ducking the best most dangerous opposition of Margarito and Cotto and pacquiao hurt his self confidence even more. floyd is a mere shell of his once very good self and he knows it. Floyd knows he has to make smart business decisions (ie duck and dodge the best). floyd knows its time for him to get kncoked out, and Pacquiao is the one who will do it.

Just like General Kurts in Apocolypse Now, it's time to get sacrificed. Floyd had his run, now he knows his time is over and is doing everything he can to duck the fight. floyd is dseperate to hang on, to be a star. he knows the knockout loss ends everything for him, his persona, his career, his dreams of being a big crossover star. floyd knows deep in his heart that he had to duck Cotto and Margarito to save his own career, and he successfully pulled off those ducks with help from his friends.

Now there's no escape from Pacquiao, the money is too big and the fan and media pressure are too much. all floyd can do is lie about vacations and drug testing and urges. meanwhile floyd is desperately hiding and no one from his camp will talk. Ellerbe and floyd are waiting and hiding like two bitches for the Pac storm to pass. All they can do is hope Margarito wins, then they can say we beat Mosley who beat Margarito so we don't have to fgiht Margarito who has six losses.

De La Hoya is just plain lying when he says Flody will beat pacquiao. He knows Floyd is a shell (just like himself) who he almost beat. And Oscar knows Pac is a killer who kicked his lingerie wearing ass like a dirty carpet.

Floyd is finished. Everyone wants to cash out and get rid of him, but floyd doesn't want to play along with the plan.

 

Youre totally disregarding the fact that Manny is signed to GBP as well. He gets over 20% of Manny's purse. To stray from that fact you resort to attacking me personally as if I don't watch boxing. As many have said DLH picked Marquez over Mayweather (even though he knew damn well Marquez didn't have a chance in hell), BUT...He happened to be his promoter.
He also picked Hatton over Pacquiao...The guy that happened to slap the **** out of him in the previous fight (biased anyone?)

I do agree Floyd could very well win...I say it's 50/50 personally, and Pac is my favorite fighter. Floyd could be an ATG I agree as well, but the idiot is either to busy being on vacation, beating up women, or beating up women while he's on vacation.

Manny isn't signed to GDP. It's just some contractual thing that hasn't been resolved.

Quit acting like the winner of this fight is already decided. Most of the people in and around boxing think it's a toss-up, with a lot of guys picking Pacquiao. Actually, they root for the guy who beat them because it makes it look like they lost to someone great. Judah rooted for Cotto against emmanuel. Paul wanted Martinez to beat Pavlik.

 

No not originally. That was the deflamation of character suit when Oscar just said why not take the test?Plus I think I read that Manny is going to drop it because he doesn't have a case. Manny signed a contract to GBP. Top Rank and Golden Boy went to court over it and it goes that if GBP is running the fight they get 33% while Bob just gets23%. If Top Rank is in charge,vice versa.GBP gets 23 percent while Bob gets 33%.
