Oscar, better and accomplished more.

 

Tito always layed it all on the line. Always had the better fights against common opponents as well.

 

De La Hoya for me.

 

Oscar till this day has no explanation for his running, my guess, he didnt want any part of Tito's power. The fight was far from a masterclass, its actually one of the most if not the most embarrassing performances for a fighter in a mega fight ever.

Hopkins was the reigning middleweight champion for over 8 years before Trinidad took him on his 2nd fight at that weight. Yet stood through the headbutts and dirty tactics of hopkins till the 12th. Oscar didnt fair any better against Hops.

Trinidad's only L's came by Hopkins/Wright/Jones, 2 and 3 divisions above his best.

Oscar always failed in the big stage...especially the closing of the Trinidad fight.

 

Hoya easily.

 

Tito was the best 147 pounder of his era.

Would have loved to have seen Tito take on Mosley, it would have happened at 160 lbs but Wright upset Tito by thorougly schooling him using that turtle shell and the jab.

Its to bad Tito-Mosley never happened, those guys were warriors, nothing like DLH, they imo definitely would have brought the best in eachother and fireworks ala Hagler-Hearns!
Damn we missed out on that!

Tito was exposed of the one dimensional fighter that he was ..Though he had a heart of a lion accuracy of a sharp shooter and the pop of a cannon it was a shame he was so flat-footed.

I always respected Tito because there was no one he wouldn't face but he was so limited boxing wise . Thats why his losses were so one sided ..
