Oscar has the better wins on his resume and virtually dominated him H2H at their peaks.

ODLH is a way better fighter. Tito had some good hand wrapped knock out power against decent to good fighters. Too bad he got outclassed when he fought boxers.

 

ODLH and you have to twist the facts pretty hard to see it any other way. I realize a lot of people hate DLH because he's a good looking guy etc, but dude was an absolute beast. Should have kept the pedal down v. Trinidad and kept the judges out of it.

 

I thought Oscar won that fight and felt he did the more overall in his career. Alot of Oscars early career work from SFW to when he turned WW was excellent

 

What are you talking about? Oscar Ko'd vargas and Mayorga faster than Tito did and wasn't put on his ass himself. Man, it took tito 6 rounds to put Mayorga down or something like that and Oscar did it in 1 round and didn't get the 2 free left hooks Mayorga gave tito.

 

How do you figure Oscar failed against tito? The man won 8 of the first 9 rounds almost. He should have been able to not throw a single punch for a few rounds and still win. Oscar actually put on the one of the best performances in boxing when he completely outclassed Tito. it was embarassing for Tito. He's just lucky Don King bought those judges. Tito didn't barely land a punch the entire fight yet somehow beats a man that had his nose busted up, eye half swollen and shorts covered with his own blood.
Oscar simply listened to his corner. After the 10th round they got upset with him saying "Oscar, no more of that ****, box him and then we go home" because oscar was sticking more in that round and after the 9th they wanted him to stop engaging, which he did in the 11th and 12th.
If the judges scored that fight properly, these millions of posts would never be here. Instead it would be focused on how one dimensional Tito was and how Oscar made him look foolish. But instead, some people focus on the 2-3 rounds he decided to stop engaging in when those rounds she be irrelevant. One of the worst robberies I have ever seen.

 

I felt the same way for a while but I've gone back and watched this fight again recently. The first few rounds weren't as lopsided as you may think. Go back and watch round 1. It's an entire minute into the fight before either guy even lands a shot. They spend most of the round jabbing at each others gloves. Oscar throws a few flashy combos but most of it doesn't land. Tito lands some decent hooks to the body towards the end of the round.

I felt that Oscar won the round but it's not the one sided beatdown that many believe. Oscar was coming off very controversial decisions vs Whitikar and Quartey so the judges were biased against him going in and they were going to give anything close to Tito.

I do think Oscar won the fight clearly however, I wouldn't call it the worse robbery I've ever seen. **** the gift that Oscar got vs Sturm was way worse.

 

I prefer watching Tito

 

I think both are a bit overrated but I give the clear edge to Oscar

 

C'mon now. Oscar and it's not close.
