I wouldn't say scared. He was more like a disabled kid trying to swat a mosquito.

Quitting on his stool proved that Pac did not hit hard. How ridiculous and pathetic Oscar the loser is! I would have believed had Pac won by decision but quitting on his stool is worse that being knocked out.

I don't think manny does punch that ahrd at the weight, he does punch hard enough to hurt though and is fast and accurate enough if he keeps landing to put someone off just trying to walk him down.

Oscar would have been knocked out after the 8th round.
He did not give him the evidence to show how hard his
    punches are.

The question is : Why did he not do anything? Why did he allow Pac to humiliate him?
    Is Oscar a masochistic *****?

Seriously you guys do realize that the one talking has one of the best punch resistance in the sport today right?

How does this prove that Pac doesn't hit hard when Oscar could easily say the same about Mayorga, Vargas, Mosley and most fighters he fought bar B-hop?

All this prove is Oscar has a great chin/punch resistance even at his old age.

Or, as Prescott once said, like one of those starving ethiopian kids in the 80's who couldn't get the flys out of their eyes.

seems like an excuse. Pacman beat him up and deserved the win. Oscar was still sharp enough a year before to go the distance with Floyd. Pacman is good.

i remember solis saying after he was KOd by Pac that his wife hits harder than Pac. That made me laugh bros.

Maybe, what Solis and ODH are trying to say is that Pac is not a one punch KO or Hurt artist, this I can believe. But his blinding speed and volume of punches can cause you to be KOd. But we have to be honest, volume of punches alone cannot create a KO, those punches gotta sting too. In short, Im disspointed with Oscar's comments here.

To make matters worse, in the same interview, he said that he did not quit against pac but he was only responsive to his corner. Common man!!!

    ODH:

I felt like I was walking in quicksand," De La Hoya said, stressing that it was not him but his cornermen who pulled the plug.

"I was sitting in my corner. The fighter always wants to continue; that’s the bottom line. A fighter is always proud. I had by brother. I could hear my wife Millie. I can see (Golden Boy Promotions CEO) Richard (Schaefer) with a white towel in my corner I guess ready to throw it in. After seeing all that, I was just irresponsive. When the referee was telling me, telling my corner, ‘Can you continue? Can you continue?’ I was irresponsive. I was leaving it up to the corner. I guess it was my brother’s, everybody’s actions, the referee said, ‘OK, enough is enough.’ So that moment I was just frozen. If they would’ve told me to continue, I would’ve continued. And I’ll continue to take my beating," he said.

Winning the match is more important than who punches hard. :hi:

It is just an excuse by Oscar. He is basically insulting the power of Pacman and saying he hurt Pacman because Manny grunted when he hit him to the body. He is not saying anything about Manny doing something which made him quit. Just excuses. Manny outclassed Oscar and made him quit. Excuses are just a way to save face.

Whatever it is, it won't change the fact that he embarassed himself by quitting in his stool.

Oscar meant that Manny lacks the one-punch knockout power that would leave his opponents unconscious. He's no Kostya Tszyu. But Manny's speed and punch volume are enough to score late round KO or TKO in most fights. Flooring an opponent with one punch is indicative of knockout power, but needing 100 punches to accomplish the same task is not. You guys really need to understand what Oscar is saying.
