Maybe not you, but you can be guaranteed that every Floyd fan would put him "leagues" above Clottey once the fight is made.

But still, something is wrong with Cintron, first, he is a 150lb fighter, second, he isn't older than 36. This cannot come true.

Clottey is tougher, but doesn't hit NEARLY as hard as cintron does.

Not sure why posters think this is a decent fight, maybe because they are comparing to Floyd's recent competition and figure this is better than his average opponent nowadays. Personally I have no interest at all in seeing Floyd fight some weeping muppet.

Seriously, what chances are you guys giving Cintron to win this fight?

Better than Campbell or Paula but still not on the level of a Shane Mosley or a Williams fight.

Cintron isn't on the same level as Clottey. However... Cintron is a much better fight than Campbell, Paulie, ect.... This is Mayweather we are talking about. Not like he would be fighting someone too drastic. By the standards of what I would expect out of Mayweather... this is riskier than I would normally expect out of him. I would be surprised if he takes it.

So what exactly is DLH saying? IS cintron the front runner now for the mayweather sweepstakes? Has floyd himself stated he would like to fight kermit?

Now if the fight does push through, MAD PROPS TO FLOYD!! I've said all along that he WILL NOT pick cintron cause cintron - although a biaatchh- is hungrier than ever. Coupled with the height and power difference, I thought floyd would'nt even entertain the idea.

Great style match up if it push through!! I hope floyd boxes the ears off crybaby kermit

Cintron isn't a bad choice at all. He is a top 10 welterweight who has had sucess at 154 as well. Mayweather beats him but atleast he shouldn't be criticized like he will if he fights Campbell. Cintron, Bradley, or wait for the winner of Mosley-Berto are Mayweather's best options.

According to your logic, Cotto is nowhere near Mosley's level considering their performances vs Margo.

A let down with Mosley and pacman out there but I understand why those can't be made and this is a good alternative.

It's not who he beat, it's how well he fought.
He is a big tough welterweight who has very close matches with good fighters.
He doesn't have the KO power of a cintron though.
