How in the hell could he only rehydrate 2 pounds?

I think that he could have done major lasting damage to whatever WAS left of his career. I noticed in 24/7 that he was taking C-Kelp which was used to "keep his weight down". That implies that he couldn't maintain 147lbs naturally which means that the decision to drop down was idiotic.

In the same way Leonard was butchered by Norris at Junior Middle when he was 34 and Roy Jones became mortal after he returned to 175 in 2003 at age 35. Now Oscar does the same thing in his mid thirties. What a f*ckin idiot??

Mosley said that Oscar must have f*cked things up in camp in terms of weight loss and I buy into that totally. I think that the rigourous camp brought him down to 147lbs but he could not fight a professional boxing match at the end of it. It's nothing to do with being shot although I admit he didn't look that good against Forbes. At 154lbs he was extremely effective against Floyd and gave him a far better run than Hatton did. I gave that fight to Money by a point and thought Oscar did a great job.

If Oscar hasn't f*cked himself up with the training camp he just had then he should fight a tune up at 154lbs and then try to secure a final title shot. Going out on the end of a loss like the one he just suffered is not an option.

I didn't like the match up with Manny when it was announced and in a way De La Hoya getting his ass kicked is what he deserved. I felt that it was a home made Superfight by GBP to f*ck with Top Rank and in essence a liberty. It backfired in a big way and Pacquiao ran over him.

I like both guys but I think Oscar needs to redeem himself at his optimum weight class maybe culminating in a fight with Vernon Forrest. Win or Lose it would be better than what we saw Saturday past.

Valero said the truth ; Oscar wasn't doing ZLICH in training, contrary to what the media and trainers reported, so it must not have been THAT much of a surprise to his camp.

Now he got beat by a midget, and looked scared shitless in there.

Spinks retired after the Tyson annihilation. Hoya should follow him. But i know he won't.

He looked bad enough against Forbes to at least be considered somewhat shot. Sucking down to 147 (at 5'10.5" and 35 years old) has most likely finished the job.
