De La Hoya says he can go lower than 147? Interesting. He'll probably weigh in at 145 or something, just to prove a point. I'm pretty much positive he'll go out of his way to weight in light, and come in light.

Mosley, Tito, dela Hoya have one thing in common: They would have had a lot more success if they would have stayed at a lower weight class. At least they wouldnt have made 1 or 2 bad fights and they would have 1 or 2 less defeats. Dela Hoya was only really dissappointing @160, beside that he always looked able to really bring it. Mosley really looked bad in any fight above 147, and Tito doesnt belong @160 or above either. Ok, maybe 160, but he was more of a force under 160.
Point is, i think these guys would have stayed a lot longer at the top if they would have stayed in their natural weight class. And if dela Hoya still can come down in weight without problems, i dont see Pacquiao having any chance. Dela Hoya isnt prime, but he is far from beeing shot. And he is obviously taking this fight very serious. Imho Pacmans only chance would be dela Hoya coming in weight drained. And it doesnt look like he has to kill himself to make weight.
I will surely watch this fight out of curiosity, but its not good for boxing.

I won't believe anything DLH says. He was supposedly 147 a few days BEFORE the Forbes fight remember?

He actually claimed he was 147 for a month before the Forbes fight, then weighed in at 150.5.

DLH has looked surprisingly slim though in recent public appearances.
