Possible....but I doubt it. Floyd didn't dominate DLH like most expected. DLH was still the top dog even with the loss in terms of his popularity. After DLH lost to PAC and retired his stock was shattered and his PPV numbers were never going to be the same. IF Floyd fought Forbes I gurantee DLH's number still would have been better.

But I think Floyd vs Shane is going to beat DLH/Shane 1 & 2 easily.

Sure, Tyson drew more people..He was a nutcase, a basket case, a contreversial figure, a criminal, he needed to seel his soul at times to be what he was.

He also had 13 more fights than DLH yet had less events and made less money.

He also fought 5 years more than Oscar and still had less events and less money made.

    :think

Also, Oscar was at the lower weights, and it is MUCH harder for the lower weight fighters especially back in the 90's to generate as much hype and attention as the HWs. So more credit to Oscar.

Both great but Oscar BROKE RECORDS.

    EXACTLY!

Even though Oscar has fought less fights and has fought less years still broke Tyson's # of PPV record.

Oscar also smashed Tyson's PPV buy for a SINGLE fight!!!

The numbers have been posted plenty of times in this thread.

Anyone still denying DLH is the PPV king is simply a ******:patsch

Really? How can you doubt it? You really think Oscar could do better numbers after his fight with Mayweather than May could do against a common opponent? DLH/Pac better PPVs #s than May/Pac...or May/Mosley vs DLH/Mosley...or DLH/Cotto vs May/Cotto....or DLH/Marg vs May/Marg...or DLH/Williams vs May/Williams...or DLH/Berto vs May/Berto...and the list goes on. You're delusional. Not one of those fights would DLH bring in bigger numbers than Mayweather. :rasta

Cotto-DLH would do CRAZY #s PR vs MX...Every MX and every PR would buy that fight!!!

Margarito-DLH would be INSANE...Chavez fans with a shot a redemption...BIGGEST MEXICAN fight in ages!!!!!!!!

Whatever numbers they'd do, it wouldn't be better than Mayweather vs the same opponent. Don't get me wrong, before losing to Floyd, yes, I'd agree with you...but not afterwards.

Absolutely! Think of what FLoyd's numbers would have been like for facing Stevie Forbes? DLH's numbers were very good considering it was Steve Forbes.....You think Floyd's numbers would have been better?

You are incredibly thick headed. DLH vs anyone immediately after the Split decison loss to Floyd would have definitly beat any of Floyd's PPV numbers. NOT AT THE MOMENT because DLH is retired thanks to Manny. You're basing your ****ed up assumption on the present situation. When DLH was at his all time high in popularity to where Floyd is now.....:patsch DLH would do better numbers without question.

Tyson was also exciting as hell in the ring, particularly his prime.

Mike had the bulk of his fights in the 80s when they weren't paying as much as they did in the 90s and 2000s. Yes he made alot of money(and blew it) in the 80s, but his paydays increased moreso during the 90s.

As for fighting more years than DLH, are you subtracting the 4 years Tyson missed out due to prison?

DLH is the ppv champ based on the numbers but Tyson would've easily been king had he not gone to prison. Wish they would've had 24/7 during Tyson's days.

As for DLH, he did have great crossover appeal. Alot of folks are forgetting the female following he had which helped contribute to his numbers. I had quite a few female relatives/friends who were huge fans and ordered his fights regularly, which they didn't do for any other fighters.
