Anyone think DLH won? I thought DLH was doing well picking off Mayweathers punches but people seem to only like flashy defense. its been a while since I watched it though.

I only watched it once and thought Oscar did better than he should have given that he was almost completely used up and was rusty as hell since he only had one quick fight in three years.

Mayweather won but it was competitive.

A clash between both at 135 would have been a really close fight. Both were better fighters at that weight imo and Oscar considerably so compared to the older, part time fighter that Floyd actually met.

Both showed good defense in that fight. I had Floyd winning 7-5.

It was a close fight no matter how you cut it or who you felt won. I gave it to Floyd by a narrow margin. Oscar was long past his best but I also think Floyd was fighting cautious and weary of Oscar’s power. It was also Mayweather’s first go around at Jr. Middle

It was a close fight, Oscar did puff up Floyd's eyes a bit.

I've scored it for Oscar before. One of the most difficult-to-score major fights of all time, imo. At times it's really hard to tell which of Oscar's punches Floyd catches on his guard and which ones he picks off.

Not for me. Oscar gave it a very game effort and wasn't disgraced by any means, but I don't think it was that close. Competitive obviously, and I think in theory you could have it 115-113, but that would require giving De la Hoya all the close rounds. I think there are seven rounds in that fight which were clearly for Mayweather, six at the absolute minimum. He obviously lost some of the other rounds, but definitely not all five or six of them in my opinion.

Last time I watched it I remember having it 116-113, and thought I was being more or less as kind to De la Hoya as I could be. But either three or four points has usually been my going rate for this one. As I say, I wouldn't grumble with anyone who had it 115-113 but I couldn't see it any closer than that, really. I think the right man definitely got the decision.

I only saw it the one time when it was live but thought the decision was fair. The thing that bothered me about this fight was somewhere in the middle rounds I think, Oscar starts using his jab and won three rounds straight. Then, inexplicably, he stops using it and Floyd resumes control. After the fight the post-fight interviewer asks, 'Oscar, why did you stop using the jab." He responds, "It wasn't the night for a jab." I thought to myself when I heard that, WTF does that mean?! I was so annoyed with that stupid statement. That fight was winnable, but what was going on his head or his corner's head, I'll never know.

Delahoya got a lot of credit for flurries that almost entirely landed on Floyd's shoulders and gloves. This was competitive but a very clean victory for Floyd in my view. There was also a 20 pound in ring size advantage for oscar that no one likes to talk about. This was an incredible feat for someone who mainly lived at/under 140 before hand

The first time I thought the fight could have been a draw. After rewatching I scored 116-112 for Floyd.

I think Oscar not using the jab was just a matter of him tiring towards in the latter rounds
