Oscar was a tad more complete than Forrest. The one thing DLH had that Shane didn't coming into a potential fight with Vernon was the size, left hook, and jab that would have created problems for Forrest. Plus I think Oscar was a more durable fighter. This would have meant a lot with the power both fighters brought to the table at their respective peaks. Vernon was more accurate but both would have found their mark plenty.

That left hook would have been poison for Forrest. I actually think Oscar would have stopped him late.

I think Oscar would have done just enough to earn a slightly controversial decision.

Close fight, that could have gone either way. Forrest was the perfect antidote to Mosley's style and speed. But De La Hoya would have been a different challenge. De La Hoya was bigger then Mosley. Remember styles make fights.

That comment actually makes me think of chins, which I didn't do before. If the fight went inside and range stopped becoming an issue, and turns into a question of both men going to war, then I give it to DLH. Testing DLH's chin on the inside is not how you beat DLH. In this scenerio DLH knocks Vernon out. If Vernon wins it would be on points on locking DLH out of range. However, that left hook from far out DLH knocked Quartey down with in the beginning of the 12th round shows Oscar's left hook from far out is pretty damn good too.
