Both Haye and Hatton are proposing summer dream fights at Wembley, and have named their dream opponents. I don't think either of these would fill Wembley. Three of the four fighters are with Goldenboy. Why not make it the biggest PPV event ever by combining the 2?
it would be amazing but won't happen, that would mean only 1 ppv, where both fights on their own would generate big money. besides hatton would get at least 70-80k people in wembley i would guess on his own.
Both fights was get very high attendances, althought i believe Haye v Klitschko would fill Wembley for sure. This would be the biggest and most important HW fight for a while IMO and while no one really knows who many ppl would buy tickets, i wouldn't bet against it being a full house. Would be awesome.
Won't happen, Hoya ain't sharing no main event. Plus, Wembley? in May? RAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN FEEL IT ON THE FINGER TIPS....
But my thinking is that Haye isn't massively known by casual fans. Goldenboy knows how much potential Haye has to make them huge sums of money if he is exposed in the correct way. Putting him on a De La Hoya undercard would massively expose him to the general world population and bring him publicity he craves, If he were to win(V Unlikely) he could have the crossover potential of De La Hoya himself. I know the probablility of it happening are almost none, but one can dream!lol!
You talking about exposing Haye in America right? As Haye doesn't need to be exposed in the uk. Plus Haye would not be an undercard he has worked hard to get where he is and can't see him playing second fiddle to anyone even if it is DLH.
Hatton got 60k for Lazcano. You don't think he'd get 100k for Wembley! Hell, Hatton gets thousands to cross the ocean for him!
I can't see Wembley being a good venue for a boxing event like this it's just too big. I prefer arenas like MSG or the casinos in vegas personally. I would rather stay at home with a few beers and watch it on PPV than sit high up in the stands watching it on big screens because you'd be too far away to see anything unless you wanted to spend a couple of grand on decent seats. I would be more likely to travel to the states again to watch something like this instead of driving 4 hours to Wembley.
haye wouldnt sell out wembley, hatton would easily, infact hatton could probably sell out 2 wembleys he's that popular here
:yep Yep that is exactly why it wont happen. Why share the PPV revenues when they can have their own seperate fights? These guys got ego's they dont want to be on the undercard of anything. I dont think combining them would have as many PPV sales as if they are each seperate. They likely get more money if they are seperate.
