De La Hoya vs Hatton?

Oscar mentioned that he would like to fight 3 more times in 2008, specifically Hatton, Cotto and another fighter I can't remember. Hatton has mentioned looking for another big superfight in 2008, and retiring to honor his promise to his mother to retire at 30.

Oscar is the much bigger man but at the same time, he won't be as hard to find as Floyd. Oscar is the older man as well, and if Hatton polishes up his defense, Oscar might find the quicker Hatton a little harder to tag.

    What do you think?

DLH says a lot of things. I doubt DLH could get down to 147. And I doubt he'll have three fights in 2008. Two fights at the most but not three.

I don't want Hatton fighting DLH.

I'd like to see him play the Floyd defeat as a loss to a fighter out of his weight division. Make the British public fully embrace this, and go back to 140 to fight Witter in the UK.

De La Hoya won't fight three times in a year ever again. Period.

Retire to honor his promise to his mother?

I think I heard that **** before . . . but the guy is still fighting now, 3 or 4 years after his mother died. :rofl

Anyway . . . Hatton should forget about DLH and unify the 140 titles. :yep

If Hatton was hurt badly in two fights at 147, he'd probably get beat by a junior middleweight.
