If it were such a robbery then why In a poll of 28 sportswriters at ringside, 16 scored it for Mosley, eight for De La Hoya and four had it as a draw.

Seems much more like a close fight that msot observers at ringside had Mosley winning, and alot of TV viewers had DLH. Things look differant in person. This was discussed when Mosley was on FNF's about a year ago, Brian Kenney said he had no idea there was any controversy until he got back to the Hotel and turned on ESPN. Himself and the writers he was sitting with had Mosley winning clear.

Hmm....:blood I don't know what you are playing with over there but don't think I'm playing any of those "COLON TAG" you and your closet buddy's seem to be so excited about. Whitaker - DLH , Quartey - DLH both close fights but the right man won.

Strum was similar to DLH vs SSM 2 in that if was a bad decision but Strum vs DLH was closer than the 2nd fight between DLH and Shane. Now that class is dissmissed you my resume your Colon tag tournament!

Picking someone to win a fight and scoring it are two differant things. But ****, Malignaggi-Cotto was a hell of alot closer than I thought it would be(I thought Cotto would take him out easy). I've picked tons of fights when I thought fighter A would win, but scored it for fighter B. 2 differant things.

No it wasn't a robbery, it could of went either way or at least a draw. All Oscar landed was those pitty patty punches, while Mosley landed the more telling blows, but no way was it a robbey.

Not a robbery but a very bad decision.
Most of sportwriters weren't even boxing writers.
    I had 116-112 for DLH.

And even Shane's dad/trainer thought DLH won. I remember him saying to Shane before the 12th round that Shane needed a KO to win.

But I also thought DLH-Quartey was a bad decision.

oscar was robbed 116-112.i never like to dis-credit a victory, but this was simply the wrong decision.mosley has disapointed me a bit since the first dlh fight. he had good performances against diaz, collazo and vargas, but thats it. mosley has beaten 3 good fighters in 7 and a half years

Good call, I knew I was missing something. What about the judges though, what did Shane do to convince all 3 of them that he won the fight?

Good observation. I want to see this fight again. I thought they were going to show it on HBO when Mosely fought Cotto. Instead they showed the first one.

Oscar kept Mosley on the end of his jab and combinations all night long. I thought Mosley had been so thoroughly outboxed that I felt bad for him. I was shocked when the decision was announced. In some bizarre way perhaps this was for the best. Oscar was able to rebuild from this performance - because so many people thought he deserved the decision. Mosley was able to re-establish his own career - but along the way - he validated Winky Wright as a P4P entrant. If Oscar had received the nod over Mosley - he most likely would still have gone on to challenge Bernard Hopkins - and Winky Wright might have been left without a dance partner as Mosley might have looked to find a tune-up or possibly go back down to welterweight. The major caveat is that an official "W" would have aided Oscar's legacy.
