In all seriousness, this would have been an ATG lightweight battle and the only way to know for sure who would have won is to hop in a time machine (and somehow manipulate the boxing politics of the day).

    Both were ANIMALS.

H2H disagrees with you....(the 2nd fight was close, but no robbery)

The first fight was close but no robbery.
The second fight Mosley CHEATED, and was outboxed. His only success came from landing some harder punches, and finishing somewhat fresher....Enhancements gained with STEROID use, which Mosley was busted for using vs De La Hoya....

..And the masses had DLH as the true winner of the fight anyway, so go figure...

..Take that, and then see how they faired against common opponents, and Oscar is ACTUALLY better H2H.

    Mayweather-Oscar did better
Leija-Oscar KO faster and more dominant
Mayorga-Oscar KO faster and more dominant
Vargas-Oscar did better, just took 1 fight to KO
    Rivera-Oscar KO faster
    Valenzuela-Oscar KO faster
    Molina-Mosley did better

It is also noteworthy to mention that Oscar fought FRESHER versions of every single common opponent.

 Fair do's mate. I was trying to ruffle a few feathers anyway. :deal

The only thing I'll say is I don't put much onus on common opponents arguments, as styles make fights and Oscar and Shane weren't exactly carbon copys of each other were they?

Removing the steroids from the equation, I may be of the few that sees it this way, but I don't think the second fight was a robbery either. Shane had the harder, more effective shots in that fight, and I truely believe you could have flipped a coin as to who won.

The thought of DLH calling for a full scale investigation afterwards always brings a smile to my face. :yep

Did you actually watch those fights or are you a dumbass (rhetorical question, I know the answer)

:patsch See Rock's answer and then go sit on a cactus and hope it doesn't pierce your brain.

I think it would be a very similar fight as 147. They might have been less experienced, but as we saw with Hearns and Leonard at 147 and later at 162, the fights were very similar yet a little more physical later. I see Oscar and Shane being tentative and fighting a jabbing fight with not too many clean punches landing. Shane winning a close decision.
