De La Hoya vs Paez. Paez being an X champ, and only gettin dropped once in 66 rounds?

    I agree that the struggle against Molina undercuts De La Hoya's head to head status at 135 from a historical standing.

    Molina was a very smart, very, very cagey veteran. He was the first guy to exploit Oscar's tendancy to rely on his left hand firepower by disrupting Oscar's jab with his own jab while using angles and subtle foot movement to throw off Oscar's rthym. Oscar won on physicality, youth, and enthusiasm but Molina used a lot of subtly.

    That being said Molina was no joke. Just watch his win over Tony the Tiger Lopez. And for what its worth Robert Garcia insists Molina, who was pretty much burnt out at the time, was his toughest fight.

    your right!...Molina was no joke..it was extremely hard to disrupt oscar's jab!

    Regardless.....Its one of the best punches ive ever seen Oscar land on a guy, the left hand that puts out Paez is pure brutality.

    Oscar squashed Paez like a bug :lol:. Thats how an ATG handles their overmatched opponents :yep

    The ****** always looked great against smaller past his best fighters it was against prime very good/great fighters that we got to see his true value as a fighter with him losing to almost all of them.ATG my ass.
