well Pac is a sucker for the right hand and has never had much problem with the orthodox left.

I think you're right tho. Oscar could be a lefty

If you (actually) watch any of De La Hoya's fights, Jim Lampley likes talking about stuff like that.

He's only mentioned it 46 times.

Indeed I think you'd be hard pushed to find an Oscar fight where Lamps doesnt mention it !

Dunno that I've ever heard it mentioned of Tyson but i can beleive it , in as much as Cus D'Amato trained fighters to fight his style so him making a natural lefty fight right handed seems the kind of thing he would do.

    Yeah, Oscar's a lefty.

I'm no real boxer or anything, I havent had proper boxing training, but I can totally understand how Oscar's left hooks are so lethal.

I'm also a lefty, and whenever I try to punch on a heavy bag while I'm in the orthodox position, I feel that most of my body weight is still on my left foot/left side of my body.

So everytime I throw a left hook, the punch feels really heavy and tight and compact.

And when I throw combos, I still feel that a lot of my body weight is on my left side. My right handed punches dont really have a lot of pop in it, and throwing the right hand merely serves as a set up and for leverage to throw a hard left hook again.

no. pac has probs w/ very skilled orthodox boxers w/ very good right hands. he's more of a sucker for a right straight. pac can slip or block left hand punches and launch left or right hand counters just like he did in the marquez and diaz fights. pac normally counters a left jab with a heavy right hook, his so-called "manila ice".
