Its obvious he's all about the money. He's trying to attract new fans to the sport, but he's also making the long time dedicated fans lose interest in the sport. If he would just keep it real like PBF did & say he was all about the money, & at least fight someone in his own weight class, I wouldn't have anything to say about him

 

Fraud? Wow. Where have I heard that before. Oscar is a complex guy. On the one hand, he did come from poverty, the "American Son" of Mexican Immigrants. He suffered as a child the ravages of poverty, he went through what we all did. BUT he was blessed with natural boxing ability. By the time he was 17, he was one of the best amateur prospects on the West Coast. He landed up an Olympic Medalist, and his career took off. He started off by screwing some guys who had paid for his mother's funeral,and then he was unhappy with some guy Steve Mittleman I believe? and his business partner, and landed up ****ing them over as well. Then he landed up with Arum. At a certain point, probably after the 1st Chavez fight, little voices in his corner started reminding him that Arum was taking a good chunk of his $$$ and that he could self promote and be a Mexican Donald Trump. He landed up splitting and having a war with the guy he gave his Gold Medal to.

Now he is what he is. A self made Billionaire (Well, almost) who can still throw some hands. He is a great fighter, who lost the Greatest Fights he was in. A 10 time Titleholder, and the 2nd Biggest Promoter in the Sport. And HBO's darling.

He has a promotional Company to run. These fighters have training expenses. The people who work in the GBP building all need to be paid. The way to generate revenue is to create it and re invest it.

 

true but lets say he fights another fight either cotto or margo assuming he beats pac then what would u have to say bout that & his decision to fight pac then. if he does fight one more time & its not one of those 2 fighters even pw then i will be dissapointed with the guy

i love watching boxing in dallas at a bbq at my friends house with some drink.... thats the way to do it...

as far as DLH, he will beat anyone 154 and under. he would outbox margo, ko cotto, and will smoke pac and hatton.. and im a fan of all those boxers


i hope DLH continues to fight 1 fight a year for the next 3 or 4 years... he is probably going to fight hatton(HUGE EVENT IN ENGLAND REGARDLES OF WHAT YOU THINK OF THE MATCH) and boxing needs as many events as possible, margo-cotto winner (HUGE MATCH FOR THE LATIN BOXING WORLD), then he probably finish off according if he wins those fights against someone like P williams, which again he would smoke.....
