He was very competitve in every fight besides the Pac pummeling. However he did end up with an L against every elite fighter he fought who were in or close to their prime (Tito, Mosleyx2, Hopkins, Mayweather, Pac). Even though he could've been given the decision in 3 of those fights, it does count against his legacy that he wasn't able to pull out a comprehensive W in his biggest fights. He had the skills to have been highly competitive with many ATGs from 130-154 though. KOTV ran a special on his career and legacy a couple weeks back and came to the same conclusion.
