Whomever pays the $50 -$60 for this farce of a PPV is doing themselves and boxing a disservice. It just will encourage other fighters
to cherry pick opponents instead of making meaningful fights.

If negotiations with Pacquiao stall, whom is Golden Boy's back-up for Dec 6th? Nonito Donaire?:-(

Maybe Z Gorres at a catchweight of 153?

DLH should just fight someone like JCC Jr. in a farewell fight and **** off already. This Pacquiao madness is despicable.. it hurts boxing in a big way.

I agree. Sergio Mora even makes more sense, oh wait he might be able to win.

lets cut out the bull**** his fans are scared he gets his ass kicked by Margo and Margo fans are scared Hoya would pull the upset...the only fight that matters is Margo vs Hoya at 154.

I don't like Hoya. However, he's getting some unwarrented criticism. This guy has fought everyone. He has a very impressive resume and took on one of the best MW's of all time when he was really just a blown up JMW. The guy is 35 now and at the tail end of his career. He's earned the right to fight whomever he wants. If you don't like it, don't watch the fight.

I don't think people are annoyed from a typical "not fighting a good enough opponent" type sense. I think it is more people don't really want Pac in there with him, whats the point of throwing another L on the p4p #1's resume. Whos to say he doesn't get a career damaging beating from ODLH?

Oscar could fight Mora and i would be happy but Pac should be cleaning up 135 and fighting Hatton, not copping a beating from an over the hill Jr MW.

He's 35, and basically a part time fighter. I don't know how you can look at the guys list of opponents and then complain because of the Pac fight. Hoya doesn't even have a belt. So it's not like he's holding up a division.

Then your beef is with Pac. No one is forcing him to take the fight. I'm pretty sure most people won't hold it against Pac if he loses. I thought losses weren't that big of a deal. I thought it was all about challenging yourself.

He obviously can fight who he wants, because poeple like yourself will pay for a ticket(or PPV buy) for his sideshow act. What is annoying is the promotion that this is an important fight and showcase for boxing when it is actually an inferior matchup being served up to a bunch of sycophants and dopes.

    How should they promote it?

He should fight someone his own size at least a Sergio Mora or John Duddy even for a farewell fight. It would be like Kelly Pavlik calling out
    Floyd Mayweather.

No it wouldn't. Pavlik is in the prime of his career and is the MW champ. Hoya is 35, at the end of his career, and doesn't have a belt. In your last post you said Hoya can fight whom he wants, but that the promotion is annoying. Now, I ask you how they should promote the fight and you say he shouldn't fight Pac in the first place.

Ok its like Bernard Hopkins caling out Margarito.

Yes, he shouldn't fight Pacquiao. However they promote it, Golden boy please save us he will fight anyone BS, as if we are supposed to believe that Pacquiao is the real challenge out there for De La hoya.
