Definitely Vargas.... that fight made me a fan. I never liked DLH but after that fight I respected him...remember too that Vargas tested positive for steroids after the fight. One thing I have to say about DLH is that he fought everybody! You can't take that away from the guy...he sought out challenges rather than run from them like Mayweather has the last few years.

I give Oscar a lot of credit for the Hopkins fight too... he fought a HOF undisputed middleweight champion in Bernard, and was winning the fight before he got stopped.

    Both Shanes were good.
My opinion is Mayorga, he turned the animal into a meal.

I would say the Vargas fight was probably his best performance, and also against Mayorga as well. He turned back the clock and gave us one last great performance.

He was really robbed of his greatest win when he lost the decision against Trinidad. And then again against Mosley in the 2nd fight!

All things considered (age, inactivity, quality of opponent, performance level), I would probably say his comeback win against Mayorga was the most impressive.

But yeah, the Vargas win is a very good one also.

    LOL

Would love to see you say that to him whilst scores of punches bounce off your ugly ****in face.

You would probably ask for an autograph. Now who's the phoney, condescending, patroninizing mother****er?

I don't like Calzaghe but would never insult him to that level because the guy is a fighter and a champion. You sound like a real dickhead!

Oh and his best wins/ performances:

    1. Vargas - MY FAVOURITE MODERN DAY FIGHT
    2. Tito - Won the fight 7-5 but only has himself to blame
    3. Mosley II - He owned Sugar Shane. Mosley almost **** himself when he won.
    4. Quartey - Dazzling 12th sealed the deal on an undefeated and under rated champion
    5. Whitaker - Matched wits with the best scientist in the game. I had Pea by 1 point.

Not much of a fan then?

I agree with some posts regarding the Trinidad fight he boxed really well the first 8 then ran. If the fight ended at round 8 this would have been his best performance

However Mosely 1 for the most excitement

Sorry Bro! I'm the biggest De La Hoya fan going. I've spent fortunes on going to see him fight in Vegas (I'm from the UK).

    BUT

Was he **** winning against Hopkins. He was three rounds down MINIMUM!
