Again, Oscar offered Winky Wright 6 million for a fight. Winky's biggest purse ever. Winky declined the offer. Oscar had just KO Vargas, Winky's daddy.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but Forrest was completely irrelevant when he campaigned at 154. His biggest wins there were a controversial win against Ike Quartey and beating Baldomir. While Oscar was fighting Mayorga (Forrest's daddy), and Mayweather.

Whitaker was a serious coke head at that point in his career and didn't win another fight and he was just a step off prime?

I've seen every fight atleast twice and scored all the close fights. The truth is, oscar only lost ONCE during his prime, to Mosley in the first fight. The Trinidad and Mosley 2 fight, two of his biggest fights he was completely robbed in. Outlanded both men by 100 punches and lose by SD and UD. lol come on.
But yes, Oscar did lose to sturm, hops, floyd and Pac, but those were past prime or a weight he didn't belong at.

He was RANKED #1 in the world LOL coke head or not, he was still ranked above the other elites and ATGS and was active with a huge undefeated streak going into Oscar's fight, guess it was just coincidence him losing when he runs into Oscar. lol
He was past his prime when he faced trinidad two years later.

Anyone bringing up winky dont really know what they're talking about. Hoya offered winky a substantial amount more then he had ever made to make the fight and winky declined. If you were around back then you know winky was notorious for turning down good fights. Hoya didnt have that problem.

Pernell didn't win another fight after he fought Oscar. If he was near prime then, his prime went down pretty quick.

I remember Vernon beating Mosley and making a name however I don't remember any talk of oscar facing off vs him. They were in a different class, Vernon came out of nowhere and beat mosley only to lose right away to Mayorga twice. His market value to boot wasn't very good, he wasn't worth enough for Oscar to move over a class to fight. I'm sure Forrest was calling him out although I don't remember that, everyone was clamoring to get a pay day with Oscar.

Pernell fought six months later after the Oscar fight but the decision was nullified because he tested positive for cocaine.

    :good

It's very similar to Pac and Mayweather losing to a young future ATG at this point in their careers...

Chavez and Whitaker were past their best just like Pac and Mayweather are today, but they were still the top fighters of their respective divisions, and top fighters P4P wise....again, they were just past their best, but not many could compete with them.

Oscar really took his soul, the way Hatton resorted to coke after the Pacquiao loss and retired.

So? Some losses turn fighters into coke heads lol can you not grasp pernell was ranked above other prime ATGS at that time for a reason, before oscar beat him? Go watch the Oscar fight and then the Trinidad fight with Pernell. That's the difference from an end of prime to a over the hill fighter. And for the record, that Pernell that Oscar beat, beats any version of Floyd.
