Didn't know Fighting was so big in Chicago. This website must be new because they originally just had the one De La Hoya article but now there are a bunch, including a cheap-looking schedule of fights including the fighters records. Check it out. http://www.buzznews.net/sports/mmaboxing
It is Prizefighting. But the guy on your avatar, fought Mitch Green on the streets for free. Larry Holmes drop kicked Trevor Berbick because he was talkin' ****, and Duran and Tapia used to fight in the streets before they were pros.
Money is all that motivates DLH now. That said, I still want to see him kick Manny's ass for being such an idiot and taking such a ridiculous fight
Last 5 fights Pacman (P4P 1) Forbes (stay busy fight) Mayweather (P4P 1) Mayorga Hopkins (P4P 1) Yeah he's a real ***** lol.
I don't think anyone here called him a *****, even though some may feel that way. Sure, 3 of those fighters were P4P but they were not in his weight class, neither was Forbes. What has DLH done to earn a shot at all those 3 P4Pers. I like watching DLH box. Great boxer even though he tends to tire out in the later rounds. The only problem I have is that he was supposedly gonna save boxing and all he has done is make fights that don't help clear up rankings in divisions from 135-160. And on top of that, now he wants to have mixed MMA-boxing events!?! atsch
Great! DLH is a very intelligent and intuitive business man. Bringing or bridging the gap between MMA fans and Boxing fans is a good thing. They are both combat sports but different in many ways. But both sports should be appreciated and respected which ever you prefer. I like both but my love is boxing. I'm excited that DLH is doing this for fans of one on one combat cometition.
