while DLH looked good and more relaxed than usual. he actually looked really easy to hit to be honest with you. DLH looked confused at first in the pocket and when forbes would use common sense with his combinations he looked to land with ease on oscar. not taking anything away from forbes but he isn't the class of fighter especially at that weight who should be able to do that
Havent seen the fight yet, but the only times I recall DLH's right hand being a real factor was with G. Hernandez and Mayorga. Forbes aint floyd even if Jesus trained him. No disrespect to anyone, its the truth. DLH aint beating Floyd either:nono Its a waste of time and $$$
If I had to give Oscar a letter Grade for last night's fight I would have to give his performance a B+. -He Got in the work he needed after a long layoff, didn't really show too much rust if any at all during the sparring seasion with Forbes. ODLH got in a full 12 with a guy who show's simalar defense as PBF (His next Opponent) and he looked to improve his stamina towards the late half of the fight. all positive thing for Oscar. Had there been a late stoppage, I would have given De La Hoya an A. (But in all honesty who cares what I think...lol) I'm just another fan with an opinion.
I thought Oscar looked OK..He was flat footed a lot and only was on his toes once in a while....He hasnt bounced around the ring in a long time....He also missed a lot of his shots and left a lot of openings that Floyd would be able to capitalize on big time........Forbes is no Floyd and the difference will be whether Oscar sticks to his jab in the rematch and his conditioning....
I just want Oscar to win against PBF in their rematch eventhough Im a PBF fan. It was not a great performance by Oscar but it wasnt dissapointing .It is also due to Forbes fighting syle.
