The version of Oscar that beat Fernando Vargas vs the best version of Canelo of his bullsh1t 155 lbs limit. Fight is being held at 154 lbs, who wins this bout if judges are fair and not pro-Canelo oriented as they always were?

I'd give the clear edge to Oscar in this one.

Maybe not his first. But in his mind, I think that's in 2021. Canelo must be thinking of leaving if DAZN cuts his guarantee.

Come to think of it, split decision draw. Even Oscar can't get this one on the scorecards!

Canelo never stopped anyone good at 154 and Oscar took bombs from a lot of punchers, Canelo is strong but his power isn't that great at world level and he doesn't have the footwork to keep up with Oscar who is by far the best combination puncher that he would face so far while Oscar has seen everything Canelo can do. Dela Hoya on the night he beat Vargas, beats Canelo IMO.

Yes, Trinidad, Vargas and Quartey were clearly bigger punchers than Canelo who couldn't even hurt shot and VERY small Cotto

On his prime most of those fights were close, the Whitaker, Mosley, Quartey and Trinidad fights were all close and that was against the best fighters in the world, Canelo's scorecards are way more consistent for him than what it were for Oscar but the Lara, Trout, Cotto and GGG fights could very well have gotten the Oscar treatment with him winning only a few of them instead of all.

Delahoya at 154 was smoke and mirrors. I can't see him beating canelo at that weight unless he plays spoiler like he tried and failed to do with the much smaller Mayweather

But he was much more competetive against younger version of Floyd than Canelo was against 36-years-old Mayweather. Plus the version of Vargas that he beat was better than anybody who Canelo has defeated at 154-155 lbs
