De Leon Vs. Velez. Who wins?

    i like Velez style, but i've only seen him beat the hypejob Sanchez wannabe. but i think he has enough talent to beat PDL.

    who wins in your opinion?

    It would appear, on paper, to be too much too soon but Velez punches really hard for a featherweight and his height advantage may be decisive with the extra leverage he'll get on those right hands and uppercuts as PDL lunges in. I'll go out on a limb and pick Velez.

    Ponce De Leon is far too seasoned.

    Velez hasn't fought anyone of note.

    I agree on both points but PDL has struggled with bangers in the past and he's never dealt with this severe of a height disadvantage before. I can definitely see Velez finding a home for that right hand and uppercut as PDL lunges in trying to land the left. Velez by early-mid round KO.

    The Rican in me will be rooting hard for Velez. But PDL is way too experienced for this kid.
