i wasn't talking about you though, you seem to know your stuff, even though you can be a bit of a pain in the arse ;)
as i've said, jennings has not got much chance at all, he probably will get out-classed, but he'll give it a go.its not lockett-pavlik, he will put up a fight.

Not a bad choice for his comeback fight. He's due a light touch after Margarito, Mosley, and Judah within the last 18 months.

If Mikey surprises me, I'll have no problem admitting that I was wrong.

Jennings has beaten current European Welterweight Champion Rafal Jackiewicz easily on points(80-73), he's also beaten former WBO Light-Middleweight title challenger Mehrud Takaloo(Takaloo lost 112-116, 111-116, 110-117 to Daniel Santos), he's also beaten current Commonwealth Light-Middleweight champion Bradley Pryce and he was very unlucky in his only loss to date against Young Muttley. He's a very underated fighter and is a quality technician.

Unfortunately for jennings his chin and power are domestic class and while he still would be able to get away with this at domestic and European level compensating with his skill, the same can't be said at World level.
Jennings is a little bit vulnerable and Cotto will put him away somewhere between rounds 3-5, the body attack being key for Cotto.

Jennings is a much better fighter than Gary Lockett overall, but he has a worse chin and power for his weightclass. He'll still put up a little better resistance than Lockett though.

Maybe Jennings can shock the world!!

Cotto brutal TKO 6, I expect a stubborn Jennings to get up off the canvas more than once before he is pummled into submission and the ref is forced to stop the fight.

Last I heard Cotto was likely not going to sign the fight.

    We'll see.

straight talk. i live 30 miles from jennings i have seen the man fight at least 15 times watched most other fights on tv and can confirm he will be knocked out inside 3. bust. a nice man with heart but he will lose. Shame is Cotto will be remembered like Hamed and Vargas, you gotta beat the best of the best. Cotto already is damaged goods and please no mention of a Cintron fight instead what a joke fighter he is

My explaination is simple. Cintron will never win a meaningful fight Cotto would never have beaten the pretty boy nor would he trouble margarito in a rematch. I have the upmost respect for everyone I mention but here we can speak the truth promoters often elude to. I am new to this forum but hope to be around a while to comment.

Vargas and Hamed are retired. You can comment on their careers as all that they can do in the sport has been seen and done. Cotto is still an active fighter.

Whether he could beat PBF or Margo in a rematch is all speculation until the fight actually happens.

So unless you have a crystal ball you don't know how Cotto's career will unfold and conclude so it's really not quite a fair assesment on your part.

This reminds me of the Pavlik v Lockett matchup.

Jennings will get stopped in 4.
