Dean Byrne obviously knows which side his bread is buttered but he didnt sound at all convincing stuttering and stammering to pick Khan over Maidana.. and he looked shocked to hear about khan "beating the crap" out of pacqiouo (clearly Roach on the wind up with that comment). Khans own sparring partner knows that he has to keep moving for 12 rounds without getting tagged to have a chance against the heavy handed argentine. Its a big big ask ..lets hope Khan is up to the task.

 

i agree whenever iv seen interviews with some of the ppl at the wildcard they are quite hesistant on the issue of khans performance in sparring, i think before the malinaggi fight setbach interviewed some latino trainer and Mcewan and asked them there prediction on khan-malinaggi and they were quite split it just tells you the confidence they have in him.
i mean dean bryne never seems all that impressed with khan, maybe the rumours of him hurting khan in sparring are true, in this video he pretty much said he doubted any claims made by roach of khan beating the **** out of pac

i wouldnt read to much into that comment, id say he was saying it more in jest than anything else

I think Amir Khan is becoming Number 1 Alpha Male in the gym. He's already surpassed Manny Pac in certain phsyical conditioning tests they do............

Roach was most definitely taking the ****. It was a comment aimed at Eliie Sechback more than anything.

When asked about Khan beating the crap out of Manny, Dean says laughing,"I'd like to see that myself" That means NO he isn't beating Manny around in sparring.

 

I've heard that khan performs better in actual fighting than sparring
