Don't take my word for it But Jim Watt had Francis winning the 1st, Oakey taking the next 4 rounds, then Francis winning everything after that. Francis boxed well in the first, but then Oakey mauled him quite badly in 2,3,4 and 5 (opened up a bad cut over Francis' left eye) Francis looked a bit ****ed after the 5th round but pulled it out with superior boxing over the next few rounds. Oakey got wild and failed to land. Francis took him out with a three punch combo finished with a massive left hook. Of course Oakey did get up but that was what finished him. A couple of uppercuts off the the ropes and Oakey fell into the Ref's arms, who was rushing to call it off anyway.
Sorry to see Oakey lose, likeable guy.Well done to Dean Francis though he looked dead and buried.I was impressed the way Francis got into the trenches in order to win. They both wanted it badly and it was a great fight between two completley different fighters.Oakey was at his level can Francis go higher?
Saw the fight it was a good scrap. Francis won but I was not all that impressed. He may be able to pick up the vacant EBU belt, but I do not see him winning a world title (WBA, WBO, IBF or WBC). Still the fight was entertaining.
you should get an account with betfair and bet in play mate boxing is a really great sport to bet on. especially in play
I might do, I didn't know they did it for boxing. My old man is into horse racing and there some right 'horror stories' on in play betting on that sport....
not sideing with any of them mate, was a real good fight after the first 2 rounds i was thinking "yes" here we go, but seem to remember oakey smiling as if francis was'nt hurting him, but ended up with egg on his face so no malice intended
Dean should change his ring name from star to something cooler. Maybe something like Deanorsaurus Rex.
