Well I'm rooting for Pac but I agree with you completely. They're both great competitors and deserve no distractions. However to be honest, I really don't think Cotto cares what the Dean thinks at all.

Yeah Cotto might or might not care about this comment/opinion...

Tho it seems they're friends and know each other...

Oh, I didn't mean it like that. That guy sounds fully qualified to call the winner, he doesn't have to lie just for Cotto. I just meant I hope plenty of Ricans show up and are loud come fight night, because you know the Philippines will be in full battle cry.

I think Cotto will have his supporters there. Cotto has had some big fights, but this is the first time he's gonna fight the best P4P fighter in the sport. I think alot of Ricans will be there. Alot were there for the Marg fight, but this fight with Pac is leaps & bounds bigger than that.

I'll admit it, it is kind of weird how many people count Cotto out for this fight. Me as a Pac fan supporting my favorite fighter, I wanna see Pac win definately, but it seems to many people are convinced Cotto is gonna get stretched, and I just don't see it playing out that way. This is a guy that beat Zab & Shane in consecutive fights. I think Pac will have to bring out his bag of tricks for this one.

Mario Rivera Martino is a well known and very respected figure in the boxing community in Puerto Rico some people call him the "bible of boxing"

I think it was the R. Paniagua boxing magazine that wrote basically after interviewing a bunch of Puerto Ricans that he doesn't have as big a following because he's "not as dark" and "more Mexican looking" than your average Puerto Rican boxer. It might be another latino boxing magazine but I think it was Pani. Can't find the article now though.

You could call him the Dean of Boxing his opinion unbiased and you have to respect that whether he ends up being right or wrong.

Maybe people are just tired of Pacquiao always doing way better than people expect :yep

Still, I can't help feel a bit nervous about so many people picking Pac by KO, I really do prefer Pac as the underdog. Oh well.
