I think the styles of fighters is relevant.

Speaking of age Randy Couture was older than James Toney.

Show me a 50 year old former champion mma fighter that can be put in the boxing ring with David Haye, a year and a half removed from the WBA Championship, amd KO him in 8 seconds with the first punch landed (remember, this is a boxing match, boxing rules), and you might have a leg to stand on. Could your Couture KO David Haye in a boxing match?? LOL

No. How was that my argument in any way, shape or form? I just said that if an MMA fighter stands with a boxer it's bad news. Can you even read?

You're talking to someone whose boxing knowledge takes a massive dump on yours. I'm a fan of both sports. **** off back to the general

Snoop is abysmal by the way.

Exactly. Can go to General and they are by far dumber on their "sport" (hence apostraphes because they're mainly nuthuggers of particular fighters) than most on MMA forum. Even the mainstream media's take on boxing is ****. Again, not turning it into a war as I like both sports but people act like MMA gets forcefed to them and they can't change the ****in channel it gets irritating!

Especially when they bring up the Kimbo-Mercer thing which has its flaws as Sylvia wasn't even a incredibly elite fighter. Certainly not in the class of a Fedor, Big Nog, Couture, etc. Anyways, if you faced a skilled elite fighter at their craft most likely you'll get messed up when you try to fight them while crossing over to their sport. Not just MMA but in general.

I posted a Youtube video of Mercer KO'ing your just disposed champion, in a fight with your rules. If you're not discussing that and how it pertains to the thread, then why have you even responded to any of my posts?

And I'm sure Snoop Dogg or Lion or whatever his name is this week is really concerned that you will make a dent in his millions of fans and dollars lol

    Way to go Fleaman!

:deadat Fatcity, macp1 and others who actually visit the MMA forum to troll. Overweight, ignorant, trolling couch potato fans who would **** themselves if they ever entered a fight gym. Keep enjoying the netthug life girls.

LOL, I like mma. I've studied an art, but never boxed a round in my life. However, I appreciate current boxers over current ufc fighters, at least. It's cliche, but true that most of the top ufc and mma fighters would have gone into boxing if they could have competed. Way more money, security, longevity (the sport itself).

This thread is ****. MMA went on to peak in 2009 and didn't lose steam until the middle of last year.

The trend is over in North America, but it'll survive as a niche sport just like boxing.

That's a pretty broad generalization. I know twice as much history as you because I know my boxing and my MMA. So how do you like that? :smoke

Quit your trolling and accept the fact that we can enjoy more than one fighting sport in the world.
