Lol, I honestly like Floyd but if you think HATTON's holding caused him problems, you have no idea what sherk would do to him... Boxing versus MMA is dumb. I love boxing, but anyone who thinks the best boxer beats the best MMA fighter at the same weight in a street fight is just IGNANT!
Mayweather proved he knows how to use his elbows against Hatton. Shrek can hold all he wants, Mayweather can handle it.
Both sports and both types of combatants have my utmost respect, but at the end of the day, boxing will still be standing.
mma will never fade... high school wrestling is very big in the us, and ufc is the promised land to white high school kids who dont play football.
if your going into your guard in a barfight... your a dumbass. but i think what they all mean is its a fight with less restrictions then boxing, and that... i guess... somehow... makes it more real? i dont know... i see what their saying though. both are fighting sports.... one has many more restrictions on it. but to me, the restrictions are what makes it perfect. the champions fight on their feet with their hands.... usually exhaulting the very qualities i love in a champion, while mma does not. ect, ect. Im not saying mma is worse, but its just not for me....
first of all on the streets, you don't know if a guy is a boxer or a wrestler. So if your first instincts is to taste another mans skills toe to toe boxing..If you have that horrible luck in running into a real boxer you're probably going to get knocked the **** out, countered, ****in owned within 10 seconds of standing on your feet. Boxers have iron chins in comparison to most MMA fighters it is not even close. I see guys in MMA getting sent on ***** street with a mo****ing jab. And yeah i know wrestling may tire you out but those guys have **** poor stamina. Boxers are serious ****ing athletes, and I'd equate a 12 round war to a triathlon over an MMA fight to a triathlon. ( in the sense of endurance not dimensions of styles)
And if sherk tried to fight floyd with his fists hed get stopped BJ also... maybe sherk should get off the juice first

so? mayweather isnt about hitting you hard, hes about accumalitive damage.... are you trying to tell me that if sherk tried to fight mayweather with his fists, he would go the distance? he would get pummeled so bad after a few rounds that no ref would let it continue....
Sherk would take Mayweather to the ground and bash his head into the pavement.. Err.. In a real fight, the ground is a weapon too.
