I think Cortez KNEW that he ****ed up after he called a timeout but he had no choice but to go through with the DQ because what else can the ****** do at that point after calling a hit behind the head and the guy is in a pool of his own blood and can't get up? he backed himself into a corner, horse**** job

People need to realise Joe Cortez doesn't give a **** about being a good referee he just wants to be the star of the show, he always gets himself involved in controversy just so hes mentioned.
