I think we will see Macklin vs Konecny for the vacant European Middleweight title. Add Bellew vs Ajisafe to the card and it is still a magnificent 7 card. Not PPV though.

Honestly it was always way to ambitous doing a PPV card with no real main event.

The two fights i was looking forward to most :sad2 Still a decent card but with two European titles off it doesn't look like a PPV card anymore.

I knew it would happen eventually

It was always optimistic that all of the fights would come off. If Macklin still fights on the card against a decent enough opponent then it would still be worthy IMO. Rhodes v Konecy was pretty far down the list on what people were most excited for.

1 more high profile pull out will ruin this card completely.

glad i didnt part with any money, said this would happen from the start, typical warren taking the public for mugs as usual!

im sure there will be at least another pullout before the night.

i think we see it become a sky sports event. none of the marketing will of gone out yet. i havent seen any sky promos for it. That or bring the price down to £10 maybe.

The Bakrer vs Macklin purse bids went for £125,000 and Rhodes must of been at least £75,000 so thats 200,000 Warren will not be shelling out for the card. If Sky pay Warren a decent fee for the fights he can put it on Sky.

It no coincidence that the two fighters that have dropped out our the ones not signed to Frank Warren.

It's just a Friday show though, so it could be brought forward - but it's very unlikely, due to Warren's commitment to the DebRA charity.

    lols.

Shift it from ppv box office to friday night and 'bing' you've got a pretty high quality Friday Fight Night.

Any chance I was going to pay for this dissapeared with Barkers withdrawal. I'll be amazed if Brook- Jennings happens I really will.

Boxingnewsonline was saying for the sake of boxing that we should get behind this magnificent 7 and this PPV which I found breathtaking. I will not be getting behind a wave of PPVs, especially with no main event.

We should be getting Magnificent 7 style events with a world title fight or main event for PPV cards.

Exactly mate. The BN piece - which clearly had a pop at a poll on BoxRec talking about potential fall outs - asked 'Why the negativity?'

    Experience counts for something.

    THIS is why.

was speaking to danny flexen who wrote the article today and he said he just hates the negativity.

im sure warren comes up with something.

    maybe lower the price.

Yes, it is good to have a positive outlook.

I'm not sure he'd been saying the same if he was one of the many who've yet again been daft enough to shell out for tickets, transport, accommodation, etc... Then again, the negativity did come BEFORE the pull outs so maybe he has a point

More cynicism based on past history than plain old carping - which has, unfortunately, been proved right.

Never mind the fact that it just isn't a PPV card - at any price. Sky subscribers already pay a fortune and should be getting this type of fare as part of their package, surely?
