If Pavlik blows out Taylor, who most consider a P4P level fighter, Pavlik would not be considered P4P, but only a guy who exposed one of boxing's current myth's.

Abraham would have to clean out the division completely to be considered P4P, even if he defeated Pavlik with ease, who defeated Taylor in your scenerio here, with Taylor being the P4P guy in the mix.

So basically, they'd all just agree that Taylor wasn't P4P material ever, which is what some of us have said all along.

    Welcome back Vooh.

I hope Amsterdam and his perfume wearing friends Zakman and El Rey don't go into witness protection when Taylor wins.

If Taylor gets so "up" for the "big fights," how come the best he can seem to manage to get are highly disputed gift decisions in those fights?:huh

If that's "up," I'd hate to see down.

Look at who he was fighting against, two ATGs.:deal Hey i thought he lost the first Hopkins fight and lost to Winky but that still doesn't change the fact that he's better than Kelly and is the more proven fighter now does it?

Hopkins is an ATG, Winky is not. Winky's best was at 154 to begin with, his MW run has not been impressive, unless you count Trinidad as a natural big MW, I don't and Trinidad was well done to begin with.

Winky is a HOF type fighter, but not an ATG, not at all. Any big, hard hitting and competently skilled MW will defeat Wright at this point, this should have included Taylor.

On top of it, I had him losing all 3 fights, competitive, but still a loss in my book. And just because both are HOF bound fighters does not mean they have the necessary intangibles to trouble a supposed heir to the throne in Taylor, especially with Hopkins being 40+ and Wright coming up from 154.

Amsterdam old buddy, your hate knows no bounds when it comes to Taylor does it. I understand your points mate but I dont think Abrahams resume is near Taylors.

You keep reiterating that Spinks and Ouma are overrated, nonetheless these guys are world class former champs. I doubt that Gevor beats Ouma and Spinks easily if at all.

These guys are good fighters. I think Spinks has the ability to frustrate many opponents.

Like I've already stated to you numerous times in all of your threads that discredit Taylor, just because Judah could KO Spinks doesnt mean that Taylor should walk thru him.

They have totally different styles and different things they do well. I hate using cliches but in this case it rings true. Styles make fights. Zab just happened to match well with Spinks, and on top of it, how many rounds did it take for Zab to begin to figure Spinks out. Remember he didnt do well in their first fight until the LATE rounds.

You're a very analytical cat but sometimes I think you're just trying too hard to hate Taylor.

    again, brother, its unwarranted.

    Abraham's resume isn't as good as Taylor's.

Let's not underrate Ouma and Spinks and overrate Gevor...all 3 are about on the same level.

Hey Amsterdam, enough of the damn "what-if's"... don't post this stupid as opinion **** like it's some kind of fact.

Truth is we have no damned clue how Abraham would do against those guys, why? Because those fights haven't taken place. Until they do, STFU.

We have no clue? We may not get the prediction right, but we certainly a 'clue' from easy statistical analysis and video analysis that involves objective comparison.

I've always believed that Taylor was rushed into his fight with Bernard Hopkins and became champion prematurely before he fully honed his skills. I think he's doing a good job learning on the fly and trying to get better but his level of competition cannot be questioned.

    Hopkins
    Hopkins
    Wright
    Ouma
    Spinks
    and now Pavlik.
